Take the Money and Run

This is the completed 2 minute opening. We both viewed our first one to the class and were given feedback which consisted mostly about the lack of any titles. With the criticism we added appropriate titles, which go well with the themes and pace of our opening.
The black and bold titles with the white outline, runs parallel with the pace of the opening and the themes of modern youth and organised crime.

Take the Money & RUN

The is the completed opening without criticism or feedback from peers or teachers.

Finished filming

We have finally finished the filming process and the editing. We booked the recording studio for the 3rd and we set this for the day to finish the filming. We arrived at the studio on time, but one of our main characters was running late, eventually the studio staff told us we didn't have time to record the studio scene. Finally he came, so we made our way to St. Gregory's school as David said they have a recording studio there, arriving there the teacher said it was impossible for us to use the studio that night, so we recorded the 'holding' scene in one of their classrooms, then we made our way to my friends recording studio where the original soundtrack was recorded for the chase scene, and we found it appropriate to use it as the plot is that they are in need for money to better their music and studio and it wouldn't make sense if we shot the scene in a state of the art recording studio.

Time booking the studio

It has taken time to book the studio and get hold of one of our actors as he is away at most times. We are not looking at another actor for this part as our current actor is perfect for the role. The recording studio for the opening scene and the soundtrack is taking time to get hold of, but we will definetly finish filming and editing by the first deadline.

filming has now begun. A week ago we went out and got our locations we also captured image for what shots we wanted, on the Friday we went to our first location and filmed the end of our chase scene. It took us about 3 hours to film that scene, as we wanted a wide range and variety of shots. we have establishing shots, point of view, tracking, panning and long shots. We done a rough edit just to get an idea of what shots we were going to use, we also recorded the sound and dialogue from voice recorders which we used for microphones, we are going to convert the files so we can use them on the Macs. I uploaded the rough edit onto zshare where I could share it with David as I have a Mac at home and the editing software. we are deciding on which soundtrack our main characters can work with the best.

Filming delayed

Our filming process has been delayed due to a number of problems, firstly I had time off as i was in hospital, and second we are using 6 actors and scheduling them all for the same day is proving problematic. We hope to complete all filming by the end of the Christmas holidays. We have also made a few changes to the story line, the music genre is now hip-hop, as this fits the theme of the 'streets'
